WACRM vs Interakt

The short version

Interakt is an engagement suite for Indian D2C and e-commerce brands covering both WhatsApp and Instagram, from the Haptik (Reliance Jio) group. WACRM is a WhatsApp CRM that puts the commerce stack — catalog, orders, invoices with UPI links, appointments and loyalty — in the same tool as the inbox, and passes Meta's per-conversation charges through at zero markup.

Choose Interakt if: You sell on Instagram as well as WhatsApp, you have more than ~8 agents, or you want a vendor with Jio-scale backing behind it.

Choose WACRM if: You want Meta’s message rate passed through untouched, you want invoices, appointments and loyalty in the same tool, and your team is small enough that per-seat pricing wins.

Pricing

Two costs matter on any WhatsApp platform: the subscription, and what you pay Meta for each conversation. The second one is usually the larger of the two at volume, and it is where the two products differ most.

WACRM

  • ₹999/mo — Starter: 1 seat, 5,000 contacts, 300 AI replies
  • ₹2,499/mo — Growth: 5 seats, 50,000 contacts, 2,000 AI replies
  • ₹4,999/mo — Business: Unlimited seats, contacts and AI replies

Interakt

  • Free — Starter: Owner role only, one channel
  • ₹2,799/mo + tax — Growth: Unlimited agents, WhatsApp + Instagram
  • ₹3,799/mo + tax — Advanced: Adds branching chatbot with API calls
  • Custom — Enterprise: Dedicated account manager

On message rates

Their pricing table lists a different marketing rate per plan — ₹0.970 on Starter, ₹0.958 on Growth, ₹0.949 on Advanced. A pass-through of Meta’s rate cannot change with the plan you buy, so the difference is margin. Their Enterprise tier advertises "no markup charges", which says the same thing outright.

WACRM adds nothing: you connect your own WhatsApp Business Account, Meta bills you at its rate, and our fee never scales with how much you send.

Where Interakt is the better choice

These are real advantages, not throat-clearing. If one of them is decisive for you, buy theirs.

  • Unlimited agents on every paid plan — if you have a large team, that is genuinely cheaper than per-seat pricing.
  • Instagram DMs in the same inbox as WhatsApp. We do not do Instagram at all.
  • Backed by Haptik (Reliance Jio), with the support organisation and staying power that implies.
  • A large catalogue of one-click integrations for Indian e-commerce stacks.
  • A genuinely free Starter tier for a single owner.

Where WACRM is the better choice

  • The per-message rate is theirs, not Meta’s, and it improves only as you upgrade.
  • The entry paid plan is ₹2,799/mo — roughly 2.8× our Starter.
  • AI agents are a ₹3,000/mo add-on, with 100 messages included and ₹0.50 per message after.

And what we add that neither is built around: a catalog published to WhatsApp, carts arriving as orders, numbered invoices with UPI payment links and repeat reminders until paid, appointment booking with automatic reminders, and a 4-tier loyalty scheme — all in the tool your team already answers messages in.

What WACRM does not do

If any of these is a dealbreaker, we would rather you found out here than after connecting a number.

  • We are new. No published customer count, no G2 or Capterra reviews, and no case studies yet — if third-party proof is what you need to sign off, we do not have it.
  • WhatsApp only. No Instagram or Facebook Messenger inbox.
  • No integrations marketplace. We have a REST API and webhooks, and Razorpay for payments, but no one-click Shopify, HubSpot or Salesforce app.
  • No mobile app — the CRM is a web app, though your team keeps WhatsApp on their phones through coexistence.
  • Support is email and WhatsApp from a small team, not a 24/7 desk with an account manager.

Switching over

Your WhatsApp Business Account, phone number and approved message templates belong to you, not to your current platform — they live in Meta's systems. Moving means disconnecting the number from Interaktand connecting it to WACRM through Embedded Signup, which takes about two minutes; your approved templates come across with it. Contacts export as CSV from most platforms and import here directly. Chat history stays with the old platform, though coexistence means recent conversations on the phone sync into the new inbox. Automations and chatbot flows have to be rebuilt — no platform can import another's.

Questions people ask

Is WACRM cheaper than Interakt?
WACRM starts at ₹999/month and tops out at ₹4,999/month for unlimited seats. Interakt's paid plans start at ₹2,799/mo + tax. On top of the subscription, WACRM passes Meta's per-conversation charges through at zero markup; Interakt adds its own margin.
Can I keep using WhatsApp on my phone with WACRM?
Yes. WACRM supports coexistence, so the WhatsApp Business App keeps working on your phone while the CRM runs alongside it, and your existing chats sync into the shared inbox.
Who should choose Interakt instead of WACRM?
You sell on Instagram as well as WhatsApp, you have more than ~8 agents, or you want a vendor with Jio-scale backing behind it.
Is WACRM an official WhatsApp integration?
